This contract becomes binding upon our acceptance of your order.  In the rare and unlikely circumstance of the product you ordered not being available, we will contact you in order to either offer a full refund, or to discuss with you if you would prefer another item. Any refunds due to unavailability will be made as soon as possible, and within 30 days of your order. If you are ordering internationally, please contact us before you place your order for a delivery quote and this will be added to your order once you are in agreement.

Order returns

Stock items – We are happy to give you a full refund provided you return the item to us within 10 working days of receipt.  Items must be carefully packaged and sent using a trackable and insured delivery service at your own cost, and must arrive in perfect order. If you wish to return any item for any reason, please contact us in advance so that we are ready to process your return as soon as possible.

**If your parcel is damaged when it is delivered to you please take a photograph of the packaging before you open the parcel so that this issue can be addressed with the delivery service.

Bespoke items – as these items are handmade to order for you, we regret that these items are not returnable unless damaged upon delivery**.

You can make your payment using PayPal, however you do not need to have an account with PayPal in order to pay for your order. Non PayPal customers can pay with their credit card via the PayPal interface without needing to register.  We can take cheques too but these must clear before we send the order out to you – usually about 5 working days. Please contact us should you wish to use this method of payment.

All transactions shall be made in UK sterling, and as the buyer, should you be overseas with a different currency, you will be liable for any exchange rate charges made to you by your card provider.

Mono Handmade does not store any credit card details for any of our customers – we use a third party payment gateway to help ensure the highest level of security for our customers.

Goods are supplied to UK addresses. Alternatively, you are welcome to come and collect your order from our base in Monmouth.  We use reputable courier services with a tracking ability.

Product information

We take care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on this website are correct and we aim to keep this website as up to date as possible.

Product colour

We make every effort to ensure that the products are photographed in their true condition and show their true colours, however images can look different on different computer monitors and therefore exact colour matches are not possible.

Bespoke Lampshades, Cushions or other soft furnishing items

As each bespoke product is made individually to order each item will be discussed this with you in advance. Seams on lampshades cannot be pattern matched, as we are governed by the size of the panel or frame used to make the lampshade.  When you commission us to make you a bespoke item using your own fabric, in advance we will ask you to please send us a swatch of the fabric with a full description including sizes, of the item. We will then send you, by email, a quotation and upon acceptance of this quote, we will then send you an invoice for payment in advance of us commencing work.  Please allow 3 weeks until bespoke items are dispatched, however we will discuss the delivery date with you.

Product safety

Lampshades: we recommend using 40w maximum and energy saving light bulbs and to keep the bulb a minimum of 5cm away from the sides of the shades.
